Great Western Park Church Leadership Team

Great Western Park Church has elected a leadership team (PCC members) who serve the church family. If you would like to get in contact with a particular member of the team, email Mark, and he can forward your details.

Mark Bodeker
Associate Minister

Our minister, Mark worked in the accounting profession and industry for 30 years before, finally, accepting the call to ministry. He is hugely enjoying working with others to build a worshipping congregation in Great Western Park and supporting community there. Mark can be contacted via email markbodeker@gwpchurch.org.uk

Claire Wren
Children and families' worker

Our children’s and families’ worker, Claire has been with us since February 2019. She has over 20 years’ experience of working with children and young people with local churches and is a qualified chemistry teacher. Claire has a particular passion for intergenerational worship, and plays the saxophone in a covers band. Claire can be contacted via email clairewren@gwpchurch.org.uk

Su Alexander
Finance and structure

Su is responsible for church finances as part of the Leadership team. Su was in the nursing profession as a specialist in Occupational Health, a span of 30+ years. Latterly she worked with an airline owner overseas for 10 years. She now provides Gramma care for her beautiful granddaughters.
Kath Butler
Church Warden and Lead Pastoral Care

Kath Butler has been a member of the Leadership Team since 2019 and her particular area of interest is pastoral care. Kath moved from her native Oxfordshire to study Social Administration at the University of Manchester and then worked for over 30 years in Social Services for older people in Greater Manchester. Kath and her husband retired to France in 2005 where they enjoyed seven happy years renovating a farmhouse and becoming absorbed into the rural French community. Being the mother of two daughters and grandmother of four, Kath believes wholeheartedly in the importance of family values. She is working towards transferring these values in the development of a strong pastoral care ethos within GWP Church.

Ryan Williams
Life Group Coordinator

Ryan is a maths teacher at a local school. Ryan leads on the Life Groups at GWP, a crucial part of the development of our church, deepening our understanding of ourselves, our relationship with one another and our relationship with God. The belief that love, the message preached by Jesus, is the key to every aspect of our lives should drive our every action, asking WWJD.

Phil Kerry
Preaching team leader

Phil has been on our leadership team from the beginning and leads the Preaching and Worship team. Phil is married to Rebecca and works as a biochemist on Milton Park. He is particularly interested in seeing people develop their  understanding of God and his Word through teaching and study. When he has some spare time he tends his neglected allotment.

Rebecca Kerry
Community Cafe Manager

Rebecca has been on the Leadership Team since the church began in 2015. She has responsibility for the Community Cafe, and is particularly interested in the development of pastoral work in the church. She works part-time for a charity, and in her spare time she indulges in daydreams about fantastical DIY projects that may or may not be realised one day.
Hannah Rabey
Worship leader

Hannah is Head of English at a local school and moved to Didcot in 2017. She oversees the worship team and music at the church, and is passionate about introducing the congregation to new and exciting songs, whilst also incorporating a range of more traditional worship into church services. Outside of church and school, Hannah spends her time singing with the Oxford Bach Choir, gardening and walking her Border Collie, Alfie.
Rosie Chrobot-Hudson
Prayer leader

Rosie is a physics teacher and assistant head of sixth form at a local school. She believes that love and community is at the heart of the Gospel, as a consequence she believes relationships are the most important part of the Christian message. Relationships with God and with individuals. This has given Rosie a passion for pursuing a personal relationship with God and helping others do the same in their own individual unique ways.
Josie Midwinter
Ministry team

Josie has a long link with Didcot as her family moved to the town in 1948 (she was quite small at the time). She was commissioned into the Church Army in 1971 and has work in a number of different places. She retired from full-time ministry in 2011 and became involved in GWP in 2012. She still leads and preaches when required.
Loun Ling Lee

Loun Ling is the Editor of the Lausanne Global Analysis, a bi-monthly online publication of the Lausanne Movement which delivers strategic analysis of current and future global church and mission developments.
